Praying to Lord Hanuman with Hanuman Chalisa and other Hanuman Mantras, and prayers to Lord Kartikeya protect the native from the evil of planet Mars. Meaning:

I offer my obeisance to Shri Mangal, the god of the planet Mars, who was born from the womb of the earth goddess. His brilliant is like that of lightning, and he appears as a youth carrying a spear in his hand.
